I chose my career direction because
I continue to be fascinated with human behavior and the
healing arts. My studies began at Washington State University
where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, and
a Minor in Alcohol Studies in 1996. Knowing that helping
others was the path that I was meant to travel, I continued
on to earn my Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling
from Seattle University in 2005. I have been a Registered
Counselor in the State of Washington since 1996, working
in agency and school based settings. My experience includes
drug/alcohol and mental health counseling with adolescents
and adults. Expertise in such areas of addiction, depression,
anxiety, family of origin issues, self esteem, life transitions
and relationship issues.
My Reiki background began in 2002 when I realized the positive
and profound effects that this energy work can add to resolving
life’s issues. I became state certified as a Reiki
Practitioner in 2005, guaranteeing my ability to bring this
empowering technique to your session. |
